Terms of Service
Updated October 16, 2025
1. Who we are
Rooted Allies (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a peer support and educational community. Our website is rootedallies.space and our primary email is [email protected].
2. Accepting these terms
By using our website, applying to join a Grove, subscribing to updates, or participating in any Rooted Allies activity, you agree to these Terms.
3. Not medical care
Rooted Allies does not provide medical or clinical services. Content and conversations are for general information and education only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for personal medical advice.
4. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to participate in Rooted Allies programs.
5. Programs and Groves
A Grove is a small peer group that meets live online. Groves are guided experiences, not medical care, therapy, or a coaching program. We may adjust schedules, group composition, or guides if needed to support a good experience.
6. Applications, payments, attendance, and refunds
- Applications: Joining a Grove starts with an application. If accepted, we will follow up with next steps.
- Payment: Program fees are due in full to confirm your spot. Payments are currently processed via PayPal Business or Venmo for Business. You are responsible for any fees your payment provider may charge.
- Attendance: Groves are live, small-group sessions. We understand life happens and you may miss a session. Most participants plan for the possibility of missing one session across the 6-week program. Sessions are not recorded, and make-up sessions are not offered.
- Refunds: All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or credits once you purchase a spot, including if you miss sessions or withdraw after paying.
- If we cancel: If Rooted Allies cancels a Grove before it begins, we will issue a full refund of the program fee.
7. Conduct
Rooted Allies is built on respect, integrity, and shared responsibility. Everyone who participates in a Grove, including participants, Guides, and the Rooted Allies team, agrees to uphold the principles in our Community Agreement.
We create a space for honest reflection, curiosity, and growth. Together, we commit to showing up with kindness, maintaining confidentiality, avoiding judgment, and honoring each person’s experience. If concerns arise, we will address them promptly and with care, guided by the same values we ask of every participant.
8. Privacy and confidentiality
We take privacy seriously. See our Privacy Policy for full details. Groves are private meetings. Participants are expected to keep personal details shared in sessions confidential. We cannot control what other people do outside the group, but we will enforce our Community Agreement when issues arise.
9. Recording and notes
Grove meetings are not recorded. Participants are welcome to take their own private notes for personal reflection, but shared or collective note-taking is not part of the program. Notes or comments from one person may not be distributed, quoted, or shared outside the Grove without permission from everyone involved.
10. Content and intellectual property
All site content, materials, and program resources are owned by Rooted Allies or used with permission. You may use them for your personal, noncommercial use. Do not copy, repost, or distribute materials without permission.
11. Your submissions
If you share messages, comments, or other content with us, you grant Rooted Allies a nonexclusive license to use that content to operate the site and programs. Do not share content you do not have the right to share.
12. Third-party services
We use third-party services to operate the site and programs (for example WordPress, Cloudflare, Google Meet, MailerLite and payment processors such as PayPal Business and Venmo for Business). When you use features that rely on these services, you may also be subject to their terms. Service changes or outages may affect availability of our site or programs.
How we handle personal information in connection with these services is described in our Privacy Policy
13. AI-assisted content
Some website content and materials may be created or refined with AI tools and then reviewed and edited by a human before publication.
14. No warranties
The site and programs are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties about accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rooted Allies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the site or programs will not exceed the amount you paid to Rooted Allies in the 6 months before the claim.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rooted Allies harmless from claims that arise from your use of the site and programs, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
17. Changes to the site or programs
We may change or discontinue programs, schedules, features, or content at any time.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and post the revised Terms on the website. Your continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state or federal courts located in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
